XXII "Count Enrico Pietro Galeazzi" Tournament
April 18, 2008

On Friday, April 18, 2008, at 5:30pm, the presentation of the 23rd edition of the "Count Enrico Pietro Galeazzi" Tournament, with the patronage of the Lazio Region, was held at the Benedict XV Sports Center in San Lorenzo.


Comitato organizzatoreParticipating are 48 teams, divided in three categories: Esordienti, Pulcini and Piccoli Amici.
Dedicated to Count Galeazzi, who was the representative of the Knights of Columbus Order in Italy for more than sixty years, the event will be held on all the Foundation’s sports facilities and many of the children who use the fields gratuitously during the year will be involved in the tournament.
Following the lot drawing for the composing of the rounds, commemorative plaques and pennants were presented to the coaches of the participating teams. (in photo: Arch. Enrico Pietro Demajo and Giulia Demajo, the Count’s grandson and great-granddaughter).


Petriana - LazioFollowing a brief reception, the inaugurate games of the three categories were played contemporarily.
For the "Esordienti" category, Testaccio defeated 4-0 the Basilica di San Lorenzo; while the Axa Calcio "Pulcini" beat Primavalle 4-1; and for the "Piccoli Amici" category, Petriana dominated Lazio 4-2.
