Supreme Knight, Prof. Carl Anderson, was received in Private Audience by His Holiness Benedict XVI.

During the Audience, Supreme Knight Anderson personally presented a $1.6 million check to the Holy Father representing the annual earnings from the Vicarius Christi Fund. Since 1981, the fund has earned for the Holy Father’s personal charities more than $40 million.

In addition, on this occasion, Prof. Anderson presented a triptych to the Holy Father representing his first encyclical "Deus Caritas Est".
