Pope Benedict XVI Greets Supreme Knight at Castel Gandolfo

On Sept. 17, Pope Benedict XVI greeted Supreme Knight Carl Anderson during an audience at Castel Gandolfo with representatives of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace. Anderson serves as a consultor to the Council, which is headed by Cardinal Renato Martino. During the audience, the Holy Father welcomed the opening of the cause of beatification for the late Cardinal François-Xavier Nguyên Van Thuân, Cardinal Martino’s predecessor in office, who died five years ago.
