 | Mosaics from the Vatican Studio March 10 through June 20, 2001
The museum’s first exhibition contained 23 beautiful mosaic works of art. Most of the pieces were on loan from the world-famous Vatican Mosaic Studio. Several were borrowed from private collectors. Some were copies of famous works while others were extraordinarily exquisite miniatures. Unveiled to the public at this time, the “Our Lady of Guadalupe” mosaic was added to the museum’s permanent collection after the exhibition closed. |
