 | “GISMONDI” March 6 through Sept. 2, 2002
Renowned master sculptor Tommaso Gismondi agreed to loan many of his finest works from his museum in Italy. Gismondi had undertaken numerous sculptures for the Vatican and several for the Knights of Columbus. The exhibit contained bronze and marble sculptures and medallions. Some were reliefs, some were miniatures, and several were life-sized sculptures that required hundreds of pounds of bronze to cast. The show contained a total of 41 works. Three sculptures were created by Tommaso’s talented daughter, Donatella Gismondi. |
