Jerusalem and the Holy Land Rediscovered

It was with great pleasure that the Knights of Columbus Museum presented this exhibit of exquisite lithographs of the Holy Land by renowned Scottish artist David Roberts.
The lithographs were on loan from the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University.
Rediscovery of the Holy Land in the 19th century was important for adherents of the three religions that call Abraham "father": Christianity, Judaism and Islam.
As can be seen from the drawings in this catalog, some of the sites depicted do not look much different today, showing that, in a sense, the Holy Land is timeless.
